LGBTQ+ Family Allyship Workshop
LGBTQ+ Family Allyship Workshop
Is it important to your family to be active LGBTQ+ allies? Do your kids have queer and trans friends that need help feeling affirmed and safe at school? Are you part of a school PTO? Join Gender Inclusive Schools and Welcoming Schools for our online “LGBTQ+ Family Allyship Workshop” on Saturday, January 7th at 10:30 am CST!
This highly interactive 90-minute training will provide examples of ways to:
*teach your kids about S.O.G.I.E (sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression)
*organize family diversity events
*advocate for LGBTQ-inclusive policies and training for school staff
*practice concrete language your family can use to interrupt bias-based behaviors in community settings.
Every participant will leave with a wealth of resources to share with the members of their school community!
Space is limited to the first 30 folks who register! We want every parent to have access to this information! Reach out to dave.edwards@genderinclusiveschools.org if you need discounted or no-cost registration options! You can also sponsor a registration or send a gift-card to a family in your life! Proceeds from all items in our store go directly to support our parent scholarships with 10% of profits to Transforming Families MN!
